About the Role

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide strategic support to our leadership and employees, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, address employee relations issues, and manage performance management and coaching.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and provide solutions to employee-related concerns.
  • Manage the end-to-end performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and salary planning.
  • Assess and maintain payroll budgets, merit increases, and annual bonuses.
  • Recruit and onboard new employees, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding.
  • Work with managers to address performance issues, disciplinary actions, and ensure consistent standards are met.
  • Consult on involuntary terminations and manage the onboarding process for new associates.
  • Conduct exit interviews and off-board exiting employees.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Update the employee handbook and maintain policies in accordance with OHSA, ESA 2000, and OHRC.
  • Enter new benefits online, provide necessary paperwork, and maintain online files.
  • Transmit full-cycle payroll bi-weekly and reconcile expenses, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Manage disability processes with insurance carriers and ensure compliance with Ontario and Quebec Labour Laws.
  • Track vacation, sick, and lieu days for all staff and maintain benefits and RRSP enrollment.
  • Stay current with all Ontario and Quebec Labour Laws and the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
  • Complete job descriptions and perform compensation analysis using PayFactors.
  • Arrange equipment for new hires and ensure Health and Safety compliance in the office and warehouse.
  • Design and deliver training programs and arrange annual fire drills and security training.
  • Run the JHSC Joint Health and Safety Committee for both Montreal and Vaughan offices.
  • Coordinate social committee events and ensure employee engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related discipline and 3-6 years of HR generalist and payroll processing experience.
  • Strong expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to present and facilitate training sessions.
  • Problem resolution skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exempt position, must be able to work overtime and travel occasionally.
