You are a true Hunter and enjoy the challenge of driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers and the expansion of existing accounts. Your primary focus will be to sell our contracted managed freight solutions and our traditional freight brokerage services via our non-asset (3PL) division. You must have excellent knowledge of 3rd party LTL, TL freight services along with a good understanding of courier marketplace. The chosen candidate will generate new business and help grow existing accounts. This role combines inside and outside sales, account management, customer care and logistics all in one. You will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and closing new accounts in partnership with our team of transportation logistics coordinators, pricing experts, and transportation network design specialists.
As a self-starter, you will be in daily contact with potential customers working to sell and build strong relationships and existing customers to help grow the account.
Schedule: 40 hours Monday to Friday
Identify new Regional, National and North American business opportunities. Prospecting via phone , social media, use of data driven B2B database analytics , dormant CRM accounts, referrals, trade shows and leveraging cross selling within our own dedicated transportation division client base.
· Identify opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling a diverse service portfolio
· Acquire critical business information in order to present effective service solutions and competitive pricing to new prospects.
· Partner with internal operations teams to create solutions based on customer needs, including appropriate pricing strategies, solution implementation and future customer growth.
· Develop account relationships with contacts at multiple levels within customer organizations.
· Solid experience in a 3pl environment (asset and non-asset based)
· Strong documentation skills with (CRM) software, like salesforce
