Job Title: Senior Administrative Coordinator
Location: Hybrid (Saskatchewan, Alberta, or Manitoba)
Working under the direction of the Operations Accounting Manager, the Senior Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for the grain systems training, onboarding and support of financial administrative processes within all of the regions. These processes relate to contract administration, delivery of grain and settlements, and record information management. The Senior Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting MasterData setup, grain accounting system development, testing, and implementation and is responsible for the documentation of administrative procedures and manuals as it relates to execution of customer financial facing transactions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides 2nd level support for administrative processes in the region relating to financial processes
- Facilitates grain systems training and onboarding for administrative assistants, and farm business reps on administrative processes relating to financial processes
- Ensures documentation of administrative procedures and user guides are reflective of current processes and system functionality relating financial processes
- Recommends operational improvements to grain procurement processes, such as communication strategies, process efficiency and customer service decisions and initiatives.
- Participates in system development, testing, and implementation, including testing associated with changes to system functionality
- Ensures regional month-end administrative accountabilities are executed on to ensure financial integrity of inventory, contracts and balance sheet positions
- Facilitates adhoc reviews of key controls and record management across the regions
- Assists in other areas and functions of the finance department
- Travel to facilities as required for training, onboarding and supporting the country staff
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-3 years general accounting experience
- Early stages of CPA designation program
- Ability to execute high level of volume with accuracy
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and general accounting procedures
- Highly detail oriented with effective communication and time management skills
- High level of customer service
- Ability to work in a challenging, changing environment
- Strong system experience (Agrosoft) and general grain industry knowledge considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
