Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join our team. As a Senior GCP Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our GCP infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency. Fluent communication in both English and French is essential, as collaboration and communication with team members and stakeholders will be conducted in both languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• GCP Infrastructure Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize our GCP environment to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and scalability.

• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce best practices in security, access control, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Resource Provisioning: Create and manage GCP resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, and network components, to support our projects and applications.

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor GCP services for performance and reliability, actively identify and resolve issues, and provide technical support to the team.

• Cost Management: Monitor and optimize GCP costs, implement budget controls, and provide cost allocation insights to management.

• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of GCP configurations, procedures, and best practices.

• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and project managers, to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

• Capacity Planning: Assess resource needs and plan scalability to accommodate growth and evolving requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of practical experience as a GCP administrator.

• GCP certification is a significant asset (ACE, PCA, PDE, PSE, etc.).

• Proficiency in both English and French.

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and GCP services.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

• A proven track record in optimizing GCP costs and resource utilization.

Skill set

Required:• 5+ years of practical experience as a GCP administrator.• Proficiency in both English and French.• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager.• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.• Experience in optimizing costs and resource utilization on GCP.• Availability to work on-site for at least 2 days per week for team collaboration.• Work will commence around mid-February.• Scripting experience for automation.• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).• The candidate must live in or around Montréal, Boucherville, Québec, Lévis, or Saint-Georges.Assets:• GCP certification is a significant advantage (ACE, PCA, PDE, PSE, etc.).
