Job Description


levelFILM is searching for a vibrant, hardworking, multifaceted individual to join our growing team as a part-time Film Distribution Intern . Please submit a cover letter and resume to  

Start date: May 6, 2023

End date: September 15, 2023

Compensation: $16.55/hour, 20-25hrs/week

Requirements/Qualifications: 


  • Be a current, or recently graduated, student at any accredited College or University within Canada, with a degree or diploma focused on Business, Marketing, or Film
  • Must be comfortable working remotely (with high speed internet) and in-person at least two days per week
  • High-functioning knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Airtable an asset
  • The ability to read and understand legal documents a definite plus
  • Basic understanding of the Canadian film industry landscape
  • Top-notch communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available to work in Toronto two days a week
  • A genuine love of Film and TV

The successful applicant will work alongside multiple departments to ensure a seamless and efficient release of 4-8 films per month, both theatrically and across multiple digital platforms. Workflow will be heavily administrative and each day will be unique.


Sample Tasks :


  • Keep film metadata up-to-date
  • Assist in creating graphic assets
  • Track delivery status of marketing materials and other assets
  • Coordinate film circuit and regional festival screenings
  • Project-based tasks as needed


As the distribution industry changes daily, we are seeking an applicant who can pivot and work on multiple projects at once within a fast-paced collaborative environment.
