We are currently hiring for the position of:
**ASSISTANT, PUBLICIST RELATIONS**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Supports on all administrative issues - Artifax, Trello, database and mailchimp - essential tools to the smooth operation of media relations- Tracks press coverage- Coordinates interview logistics and tracks all interviews- Supports drafting TIFF responses for press to align with the organizations official messaging- Acts as conduit between programming, film office and scheduling in the early stages of Festival planning to ensure a timely flow of information to Communications team; takes notes at Production meetings- Supports seasonal Media Accreditation team and aspects of the Media Accreditation process during Festival- Supports the Communications team on publicity tasks related to TIFF programming- Responds to media inquiries and provides press materials and assets as requested- Monitors news outlets for TIFF mentions, coverage and industry news to circulate with organization- Issues corrections and requests for TIFF mentions to be included in press coverage when appropriate- Works closely with team members to complete time-sensitive tasks- Works closely with media monitoring service (Cision) to deliver and curate media analysis reports to internal stakeholders

**RATE OF PAY**:
- $22.00/Hourly

**WORK LOCATION**:
- Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5- Weekly in office requirements:
- Minimum 2 days (November to May)-
- Minimum 3 days (June to October)-
- Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

**TARGET**
**CONTRACT DATES**:
- June 15, 2023-September 25, 2023

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
- Post-secondary degree or certificate in Public Relations and/or Communications- Minimum two years experience in communications and/or public relations- Highly motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.- Performs well under pressure.- Proficiency in Office Suite, Google Docs and general technical support is an asset- Some knowledge of backend website building an asset- Fluent in English, oral and written; knowledge of another language a great asset- Excellent written and oral skills; tact and diplomacy essential- Strong contributor to the development process- Collaborative with the ability to build on ideas- Experience working with media intelligence and monitoring platforms; knowledge of Cision and Mailchimp an asset- Passion and knowledge of the film and entertainment industries- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends- This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
