We are currently hiring for the position of:
**VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERN**

Reporting to the Senior Video Producer, the Video Production Intern will work in a fast-paced production environment as part of the Video team within TIFF’s Brand & Media department.

The position is an opportunity for a student with a background in editing to gain further knowledge about the film and video production field, and to put into practice skills that they have learned through engagement with projects that support TIFF and its year-round home, TIFF Bell Lightbox; as well as the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Shall include but not be limited to:_
- Assist the Senior Video Producers to edit videos through digitizing clips, making selects, and completing minor edits and rough cuts
- Assist with editing “TIFF Talks” — long-form in-person and remote Q&As and events — for TIFF’s YouTube channel and in-cinema distribution, and “TIFF Trailers” delivery
- Prepare completed videos for online distribution, including sourcing and organizing metadata, closed captioning files, and related media
- Provide administrative support, including asset management and auditing, sourcing and cataloguing media, and research, as required
- Occasional in-person production support, including camera operation, audio recording, and assisting on multi-cam shoots
- Attend weekly production-related meetings
- Other duties, as required

**RATE OF PAY**:
- $15.50 /Hourly

**TARGET**
**CONTRACT DATES**:
- July 10, 2023-September 2, 2023- possibility for extension

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Currently enrolled in an applicable post-secondary degree or diploma programme in film or media production
- Previous technical and administrative experience in a production and/or post-production environment
- Exceptional eye for detail and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Effective editing skills and strong experience using Adobe Creative Suite is required
- Experience with professional cameras, audio recording equipment, and lighting is preferred, but not mandatory- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
