Position Summary

We are a busy family medicine and women's health teaching practice seeking a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our clinic. As part of our collaborative teaching environment, the MOA plays an essential role in supporting both patients and learners while providing administrative and clinical assistance to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Support & Reception

· Greet and check-in patients with professionalism and warmth.

· Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.

· Answer phones, emails, and patient inquiries in a timely manner.

· Provide information about clinic services, policies, and procedures.

· Assist in triaging patient concerns, collecting key information, assessing urgency, and communicating appropriately with the clinical team.

Administrative Duties

· Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).

· Process referrals, requisitions, and test results.

· Handle billing, insurance documentation, and payment processing.

· Order and track medical and office supplies.

Qualifications

· Medical Office Assistant certificate or equivalent education/experience.

· Previous experience in a family medicine or women's health setting an asset.

· Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a busy environment.

· Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices.

· Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional.

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
