Job Summary:

  • Greet and arrive family practice patients
  • COVID screening patients and visitors via phone and at door
  • Update patient demographics
  • Create EMR charts for new patients
  • Answer appointment desk phones; book appointments; re-bookings, answer inquiries from patients re; AHC schedules, referrals, test results, etc.
  • Book appointments for family practice patients with appropriate doctor
  • Manage multiple line and re-direct call appropriately
  • Direct patients to various areas in the clinic (cardiology, physio, pharmacy)
  • Move incoming electronic faxes to patient chart
  • Attach electronic medical reports to patient charts
  • Review schedules for accurate bookings and time allowances
  • Give forms to patients and explain how to complete them
  • Give correspondence and samples to patients from the physicians
  • Prepare lab kits
  • Give forms to patients and take payment for those forms
  • Track and record all payments received appropriately
  • Maintain tidiness in the reception and patient waiting area
  • Assist patients with disabilities as needed
  • Manage emails, faxing, e-faxing, and scanning
  • Follow clinic policy and work professionally
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
