Join our Team We are looking for a Full-Time Administration Assistant
**Reports To**: General Manager/Designate
**Qualifications**:
1. Previous employment in healthcare residence an asset but not mandatory
2. Must have a total understanding of bookkeeping practices, prepare financial reports and statements, and conduct reviews as required. Keep compliance with the Regulatory bodies and legislation, Prepare documents required.
**Physical Demands**:
- Sitting for extended periods at a desk for computer/typing work.
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Walking short distances and up/down staircases.
- typing and/or use of a computer keyboard proficiently
- pulling/pushing/lifting to open and/or relocate binders, carts, etc up to 10lbs
- Reading/Seeing documentation both in paper format and on a computer screen for extended periods of time.
- Hearing differences in phone ring tones and/or in fire system horns or alerts for emergency response purpose
- Speaking/communicating in front of audiences and with individuals who may have impairments and disabilities
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist general Manager & Assistant General manager where required.
- Provide support to the General Manager & Assistant general Manager for public relations, employees and resident care of the operations of the home.
- Provide to support to all members of the management team.
- Set-up depositor information packages along with setting up resident files.
- setting up employee files
- Training & Orientation for new employees.
- respond to questions from potential residents, family members when required.
- Type correspondence including confidential material. Composes correspondence that does not require General Manager or Assistant general manager attention.
- Co-ordinate meetings and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Maintain inventory and office supplies
- Maintain a complete set of accounting records in the residence, or where part of a chain, keep one or more sections of a complete set of books or records relating to certain phases of the business transactions
- Perform payroll duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wages and salaries of all staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial, personnel's and resident date.
- Be Knowledgeable of an practice residences fire and safety programs.
- Oversee and co-ordinate reception staff.
This requires attention to detail, physical strength, and the stamina to work long shifts. We require applicants who are able to work immediately. Must have a fast, fun, and friendly attitude.
Hours/Days: 9 am to 5 pm/ Monday to Friday
