About the Role

The Advancement Officer, Leadership Giving is a key member of the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) Advancement Team, responsible for managing relationships with donor prospects who have the potential to make annual leadership gifts at the $1K to $10K level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies for securing financial support from a portfolio of donor prospects, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and the community.
  • Collaborate with faculty Major Gift Fundraisers to develop and implement strategies to upgrade donors and develop the pipeline for major and planned gifts.
  • Develop and implement donor engagement plans to foster strong relationships with donors and ensure their philanthropic goals are met.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to fund FAS priorities and create dynamic engagement with our Alumni.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and four years of related fundraising experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience developing proposals for individuals and corporations.
  • Experience in developing donor engagement plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
