Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Conference Services Coordinator in Toronto, ON.

Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented individual to manage bookings calendar with prospective and definite events. You will be responsible for coordinating event details, menu plans, and other requirements, as well as liaising with suppliers and stakeholders during the event planning process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify client objectives and expectations and make recommendations accordingly
  • Manage bookings calendar with prospective and definite events
  • Coordinate event details, menu plan, and other requirements
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders during the event planning process
  • Coordinate and communicate all event set-up and dismantling logistics
  • Create, control, and maximize event budgets
  • Carry out site inspections throughout the planning process to ensure compliance with customer standards
  • Coordinate orders and rentals with external vendors
  • Accurately complete financial billing processes
  • Evaluate overall event success and report results

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in event management, preferably in hotel or conference centers
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Exceptionally service-oriented
  • Well-organized multi-tasker
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Software skills include Delphi, Social Tables, Microsoft Office
  • Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, running projects from start through to completion with minimal oversight
