Specialized Recruiting Group in London, Ontario is seeking a Senior Human Resources professional to join their team. This on-site role at our Kitchener location offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

About the Role

This position focuses on employee relations, HR process execution, and staffing. As a trusted resource for employees and managers, you will be responsible for developing employee relations strategies and plans, advising supervisors on conflict resolution, and implementing communication plans that foster a motivated and engaged team culture.

  • You will be a highly visible and approachable resource for employees and managers, providing frequent interaction within the manufacturing plant.
  • Develop and execute strategies to build a positive and productive work environment.
  • Advise and coach supervisors on employee concerns, working closely with facility leadership to develop metrics and communication tools.
  • Partner with leadership to define values, culture development goals, and action plans.
  • Full-cycle recruitment for hourly positions, including developing sources of qualified candidates, preparing job postings, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Continuously improve employee retention by measuring and communicating results to leaders and developing action plans.
  • Maintain compliance with Canadian laws and employee legislation requirements.
  • Actively lead and manage health and safety programs, coordinate meetings, and participate in incident investigation and action planning.
  • Effectively investigate complaints and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Implement and administer performance management and objective setting processes.
  • Coach managers on writing performance reviews, corrective action, development planning, and verbal coaching.
  • Monitor, support, and administer progressive discipline programs as required.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field, and 3 years of progressive experience in HR, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CHRP or working towards CHRP designation is an asset.
  • A working understanding of WSIB standards and how to administer relevant forms.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Highly professional, able to use good judgment, and maintain confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Positive communication skills, ability to collaborate, and proficient with MS Office.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, strong ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is between $80,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
