Job Overview

We are offering a permanent full-time contract with a 40-hour work week and 15 vacation days per year. The ideal starting date is January 6, 2025.

Job Description

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for providing day-to-day support in recruiting, staffing, on-boarding, performance management, and training & development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting HR Generalist in all areas of the HR function by providing guidance where required.
  • Acting as the primary point of service contact for the leadership group and employees on interpreting human resource policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Executing all human resources related action changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and cost center changes, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and according to established deadlines.
  • Identifying and applying tactics to ensure engagement and alignment of employees across the organization, ensuring organization effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partnering with leaders in developing effective structures, systems, processes, and skills to support their business goals and talent requirements.
  • Demonstrating our culture and Rhenus values in the daily HR work.
  • Monitoring HR legal and government requirements to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehousing. Key qualifications include:

  • Practical knowledge of HR operations including performance management, succession planning, talent planning, competency development, compensation, employee relations, and talent analytics.
  • Experience in leading people and providing guidance where needed.
  • Strong knowledge of all legislative requirements within Canada.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues.
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with all individuals both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and multiple deadlines.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
