Job Summary

The shíshálh Nation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Support Specialist to provide exceptional support to the Director of Divisional Services. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Divisional Services, including managing calendars, coordinating travel, and preparing reports.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, team members, and external clients.
  • Prepare and edit written communication, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements, ensuring seamless execution and follow-up.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information, maintaining discretion and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree in Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of senior executive administrative experience, preferably in a First Nations environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
