About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Claim Manager to join our Group Operations team at Empire Life. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing disability claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and evaluate claims to determine eligibility for payment
  • Manage active claims duration using best practices
  • Interview claimants and employers to gather information
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all communication
  • Develop and implement case management plans to achieve timely and sustainable returns to work
  • Collaborate with return to work facilitators to design and monitor return to work programs
  • Communicate with customers regarding claim status and developments
Requirements
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • University degree in anatomy, biology, kinesiology, life sciences, or psychology
  • 3+ years of experience in disability claim management
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Disability Management best practices/protocols
  • Knowledge of relevant provincial employment legislation and legal requirements
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, internet, and database software
