Administrative Support Associate

This part-time administrative role is based at The Salvation Army Fenelon Falls and supports the delivery of community services to those in need.
About the RoleThe Administrative CFS Worker will provide a variety of administrative duties and assist individuals and families who are seeking aid and assistance from The Salvation Army. This position also provides support to the Food Bank Program and other programs provided by the Community and Family Services.
Responsibilities- Perform general office duties such as answering phone calls, responding to messages, and greeting visitors.
- Liaise with CFS Coordinator, Business Administrator, Corps Officers, and the community as required.
- Book appointments for clients to shop their groceries and coordinate deliveries for clients who cannot physically access the store.
- Create and file documents electronically or manually; photocopy and distribute materials as requested; send and receive faxes and emails as needed.
- Draft and type correspondence; sort and prioritize assignments within general guidelines.
- Maintain databases (e.g., employee/volunteer information, contact lists, inventory, training records).
- Review program assistance guidelines with supervisor periodically.
- Maintain accurate records of client information in Link2Feed and on The Salvation Army's computer system while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist with report preparation, grant applications, and fundraising plans.
- Completion of High School diploma required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field would be an asset.
- Valid Safe Food Handlers Certification or willingness to obtain.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification and First Aid/CPR preferred.
- Minimum of three months of prior experience working in community-based programs.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and disciplined individual.
- High level of integrity and good judgment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to exercise diplomacy, tact, and compassion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is a permanent part-time position based 15 hours per week. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with some weekend and evening work possible. The supervisor sets the hours of work and schedule.
SalaryWe offer a competitive salary range of $22-$28 per hour, depending on experience.
