At Scotiabank, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director, Asset, Risk in our esteemed Global Banking and Markets division. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for business development, execution of merger and acquisition advisory mandates, and equity financing.

Key Responsibilities- Develop innovative solutions to complex client financing requirements, leveraging your expertise in the Telecom sector.
- Understand client and market requirements, analyzing market trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Coordinate and manage transaction processes, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
- Set and monitor objectives and performance targets for junior staff, providing guidance and feedback to support their development.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, complemented by excellent academic and professional records.
- MBA and CFA or equivalent designations, demonstrating your expertise in finance and leadership.
- 1-2 years of experience in a Director, Investment Banking capacity, with a proven track record of success in the Telecom sector.
- Demonstrated skills in developing, maintaining, and strengthening business relations with clients in the Telecom sector.
- Strong leadership skills and an interest in managing and mentoring a small group of professionals.
- Creative thinking capabilities, enabling you to identify potential opportunities and drive innovation.
This is a largely onsite role, requiring you to work 4-5 days a week in our office. Domestic travel may be required for up to 20% of your role, presenting opportunities to engage with clients and colleagues across the country.
