Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Account Executive to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our business within large strategic accounts in the Alternate Site segment.

Your primary focus will be to develop and execute business strategies to achieve sales objectives, both tactical and strategic. You will work closely with our field sales teams to close new and incremental business, and establish and cultivate relationships between Cepheid and our accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive National/Strategic account management through identification, analysis, and prioritization of national/regional strategic accounts as assigned.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships between Cepheid and accounts by maintaining close interaction with senior management and executives, both internal and external.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with manager – emphasis on customer creation, negotiation, execution, and management of legal agreements/contracts at regional & national levels.
  • Develop and support proposed pricing, contracting and marketing business initiatives in order to solve marketplace/customer problems while managing Cepheid's financial and legal exposure.
  • Lead, consult and collaborate with multi-level, cross-functional teams both internal and external on developing business strategies for business development, marketing, promoting and selling of Cepheid products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree with previous experience in sales, sales management, or marketing experience.
  • Strategic account management experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in French and English preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – 50% travel, overnight, within Canada.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
