This leadership position is responsible for building and maintaining a strong strategic operations plan that supports all aspects of our Group Benefits Division.

You will work collaboratively with various teams to ensure timely delivery of quality services, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance within your team.

The ideal candidate possesses 15+ years' operational management experience in the employee benefits industry, with a proven track record of leading diverse, high-performing teams to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategize and collaborate with sales and service functions to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Develop and implement team goals and performance metrics aligned with our organizational strategy.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability and high performance within the team.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training & development, performance management, and engagement of a large service and support team.
  • Evaluate and improve business processes and procedures to enhance overall performance.
  • Plan and support regular quality assurance audits and execute corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop strategic workforce planning initiatives to align staffing levels with business needs.
  • Ensure provincial licensing and insurance company contracting are in place.
  • Collaborate with national and corporate resources for cohesive efforts across the organization.
Qualifications

The successful candidate thrives in a collaborative atmosphere, leveraging strong communication and interpersonal skills to build a team-oriented environment.

  • A seasoned professional with 15+ years' operational management experience in the employee benefits industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse, high-performing teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Possess an inquisitive nature and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written, and verbal.
  • Skilled at delegating, setting expectations, and monitoring progress of direct reports.
  • Valid Life License (LLQP) in the Province of British Columbia (or obtained within 6 months).
  • CEBS, CALU, CIM, and other designations preferred.
