The Company

Mainstreet Equity Corporation is a distinguished real estate company which is publicly traded on Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). Its business focus is on acquisition & upgrading of residential properties and managing its own portfolio of over 16,000 residential apartments in five major cities across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review and create budgets for capital renovation projects, send to the HO for approval.
  2. Assign projects to contractors and issue purchase orders according to the approved budget/job.
  3. Follow up with regional managers to ensure missing turnovers are completed on time to meet deadlines.
  4. Explore and obtain price quotes from different vendors or contractors.
  5. Coordinate with Regional Managers, Resident Managers, Maintenance Team, and other departments.
  6. Process and submit expense forms, mileage expense submissions, and purchase orders.
  7. Maintain inventory, create work orders, and budget for bulk orders.
  8. Deliver daily, weekly, and seasonal updates and reminders.
  9. Implement streamlined workplace processes and approve operations purchase orders.
  10. Process invoices and ensure all POs are received by accounting.
  11. Coordinate the on-call schedule and follow up on previous night’s work orders.

Requirements

  • Administrative work experience in residential property management or similar settings.
  • Excellent English language skills, time management, and organization skills.
  • Knowledge in property management admin and RTA an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills, ability to work effectively in high stress situations, and adaptability.
  • Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must successfully complete a security clearance.
