The Sponsorship Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales and be responsible for selling sponsorship and digital opportunities into the dmg energy portfolio of products. Our events are truly global, reflected by the markets they represent and the continents they serve, including Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, and North America.
You'll be selling multi-channel sponsorship opportunities across the natural gas, low carbon solutions, and energy transition supply chains on an international basis. You will work closely with the relevant Conference Producer and Sales Manager in maximizing the expo and conference sponsorship revenue.
You will need to effectively target clients to sell the event and special features within the event, on the integrity of the programme itself, follow up on marketing campaigns, oversee fulfillment of sponsorship contracts, and help achieve optimum attendance results for the conference and exhibition.
You will be responsible for the execution of B2B sponsorship sales campaigns for The Global Energy Show Canada. The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative and have the ability to successfully deliver against multiple elements of the GESC programme throughout the year – efficiently and effectively following a plan to meet targets and ensure a premium customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:- Conduct thorough analysis of the vendor landscape, including market research to ensure that you understand the dimensions of the vendor/client relationships in the market relevant to your events, target market segmentation, identification of industry trends, and monitoring competitive event performance, cost, and market penetration.
- Work with our internal database to select and accurately target vendor organizations, including building and/or filling in the gaps in our vendor database and specific contact list development.
- Create compelling and creative packages/proposals that deliver against the budget and manage your own timelines to deliver against pre-agreed objectives.
- Assess current and prospective customer retention and acquisition strategies.
- Develop sales plans as specified, as well as coordinating on-going sales initiatives, including coordination with the conferences' and exhibition marketing managers of the sponsorship marketing (online and offline) campaign and relationships with relevant external partners that can help promote the events to vendors.
- Work with marketing to develop and manage a budget for each event sponsorship sales campaign.
- Work with the entire conference project team to ensure that sponsor requirements and expectations included in their contracts are executed and fulfilled effectively and in a timely fashion, working to delight all sponsors and exhibitors.
