Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assessor Coordinator to join our team at Health Careers in Saskatchewan. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in promoting the mission, vision, and values of our region through the provision of safe and quality care to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information, and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups.
  • Travel is not required for this position.
  • Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong assessment skills to determine callers' needs.
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation.
  • Must understand and be able to function in a call-centre environment.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of working experience in community mental health and addictions services.
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing.
  • Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred.
  • Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems.

  • Ability to respond to clients' varying concerns and complex requests.
  • Ability to work with various electronic, IT, and manual resources.
  • Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies.
