Job Title: Assessor Coordinator

Join our team at Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region as an Assessor Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in promoting safe quality care to clients and providing assessment, intervention, and support services.

About the Role
  • Provide assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information, and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community resources, treatment programs, and support agencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' needs and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Provide counseling, advice, and information to clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources and treatment programs.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in community mental health and addictions services.
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing degree.
  • Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred.

  • Knowledge of community resources, including treatment programs and support agencies.
  • Strong assessment skills required to determine callers' needs.
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation.
  • Must understand and be able to function in a call-centre environment.
