Join our team as an Assessor Coordinator and contribute to providing safe quality care to clients, promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups.
  • Work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe quality care to clients.
  • Utilize advanced analytical skills to determine callers' needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and community resources.
Requirements:
  • 2 years working experience in community mental health and addictions services.
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing degree.
  • Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred.

  • Clinical knowledge in mental illness, addictions, interventions and treatments.
  • Ability to apply evidence-based decision making.
  • Ability to respond to clients' varying concerns and complex requests.
  • Ability to work with various electronic, IT and manual resources.
  • Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies.
  • Strong assessment skills required to determine callers' needs.
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation.
  • Must understand and be able to function in a call-centre environment.
