Job Title: Assessor Coordinator

Join our team at Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region as an Assessor Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in promoting safe quality care to clients and providing assessment, intervention, and support services.

About the Role

The Assessor Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Providing assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information, and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups.
  • Working independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe quality care to clients.
  • Utilizing advanced analytical skills to determine callers' needs and provide appropriate support services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of working experience in community mental health and addictions services.
  • A Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing degree.
  • Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred.

You will have:

  • A minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.

  • The ability to multitask.
  • Clinical knowledge in mental illness, addictions, interventions, and treatments.
  • The ability to apply evidence-based decision making.
  • The ability to respond to clients' varying concerns and complex requests.
  • The ability to work with various electronic, IT, and manual resources.
  • Knowledge of community resources, including treatment programs and support agencies.
  • Strong assessment skills to determine callers' needs.
  • The ability to competently use computers and software applications.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation.
  • The ability to function in a call-centre environment.
