About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Palliative Medicine Physician to join our dynamic and growing multidisciplinary palliative care team on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia.

The successful candidate will provide coverage to palliative patients and families at home, hospital, and hospice, working collaboratively with a supportive team of palliative care nurses, social workers, and administrative staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and is committed to building strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive palliative care to patients and families in various care settings
  • Collaborate with the palliative care team to develop and implement inter-professional initiatives
  • Work closely with family physicians and medical specialists using a shared-care model
  • Mentor longitudinal integrated clerkship students and family medicine residents from Dalhousie University
Qualifications
  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership
  • Accredited training in Palliative Medicine or Certificate of Added Competence in Palliative Care
