Job Summary

The Department of Medicine at The Little Gym of Seattle at Maple Leaf is seeking a highly skilled Hematologist - Cancer Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our cancer care program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient hematology consultation and cross-coverage of benign and malignant hematology inpatients
  • Participate in the Internal Medicine call schedule on a rotational basis
  • Conduct outpatient clinic sessions for consultations, procedures, phlebotomy, transfusions, and infusions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with malignant hematologic conditions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

  • Independent license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Internal Medicine
  • Additional training in Malignant Hematology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to team-based and inter-professional care
