About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with blood disorders and cancers
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Prescribe medication and treatment plans
  • Refer patients for surgery and other medical procedures
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Completion of a residency program in hematology or a related field
  • Board certification in hematology or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field
