The National Research Council Canada is seeking a results-driven Human Resources Advisor to join its team. As a key member of the HR Branch, this individual will play a pivotal role in advancing workplace wellness and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned HR professional with a passion for creating inclusive work environments. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of human resources management principles, including strategic advice on employment-related policies, programs, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement workplace EDI strategies, programs, and training to promote a culture of inclusivity.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality written products, reports, communiqués, and briefings for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide sound advice and transfer knowledge to managers, HR practitioners, and other service providers on EDI and wellness best practices.
  • Manage projects, deliver results, and bring work to completion while maintaining effective collaboration with colleagues.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must demonstrate:

  • A degree from a recognized university in a field relevant to the work or an equivalent combination of experience, education, training, and/or certifications.
  • Experience in human resources management, including providing strategic advice on employment-related policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of available tools, training, and resources to support employee and workplace well-being across the continuum of wellness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide high-quality written products.

What We Offer

The NRC offers a competitive salary range of $96,887 to $107,696 per annum, plus a bilingualism bonus of $800 per year.
