Strategic HR Director for Organizational Excellence

About the Opportunity
The Bank of Canada is seeking a seasoned Strategic HR Director to drive organizational excellence and lead transformative change initiatives. As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's culture and employee experience.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in human resources, organizational development, and change management. Your expertise will enable you to develop and execute comprehensive strategies that drive business outcomes, foster a positive work environment, and promote employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement large-scale HR and organizational change initiatives that align with the bank's vision and goals.
- Leverage your expertise in organizational development, change management, and communication to drive successful transformations.
- Foster a culture of performance, belonging, and inclusivity by designing and implementing employee engagement programs, training initiatives, and recognition processes.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and communicate strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall strategy.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including employees, executives, and external partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving change and improving organizational performance.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, sociology, equity studies, communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
