About the Role
At Alzheimer Society of B.C., we are seeking a skilled Dementia Care Trainer and Educator to support our capacity to deliver standardized U-First health-care provider training across the province. The ideal candidate will have experience in group facilitation, adult education, and coaching professionals to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate required training and ongoing opportunities for professional development, coaching, and support to enhance the knowledge and skills of the organization's health-care education facilitators.
  • Facilitate external train-the-trainer workshops to enhance health-care providers' capacity to deliver U-First training within their organization, as well as facilitating the standardized U-First training for health-care providers.
  • Develop systems and processes for scheduling and monitoring staff participation and progress through mandatory facilitator training components and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Support and participate in provincial and national U-First community of practice activities, and the U-First mentoring program.

About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a deep understanding of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, combined with a commitment to fostering person-centred care. You should have a background in health care, social work, gerontology, or a related field, and be able to manage training programs, support professional development, and ensure program objectives are met.

Estimated Salary: $73,000 - $80,000 per year
