Senior Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Forest Lane Medical Clinic. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Job DescriptionAbout the Role: As a Senior Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders in patients. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose Psychiatric Disorders: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to diagnose psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.
- Prescribe Medication and Treatment: Develop treatment plans that may include medication and therapy to help patients manage their conditions.
- Treat Psychiatric Disorders: Provide ongoing treatment and support to patients to help them manage their psychiatric disorders.
- Collaborate with Other Healthcare Professionals: Work with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry from an accredited institution.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certifications and Licenses: Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensed to practice in Canada.
Working Conditions:
- Work Environment: The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.

- Competitive Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
