Job Summary:

Alberta Health Services seeks a skilled and compassionate Pyschologist II to join our team at the Foothills Medical Centre (FMC). This is an exciting opportunity for a mental health professional to provide advanced clinical services, consultation, and education in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of how to build inclusive environments that reflect the needs and supports required for diverse populations. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.

This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, including leading and facilitating program, policy, and procedure development, staff development, quality improvement, and research activities. You may also provide supervision to doctoral level psychology residents, master's level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists, and other team members.

About Us:
Located on the west side of Calgary, Alberta, FMC is an Acute Care hospital with over 1,100 beds. It serves as the Trauma Centre for Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia, and Western Saskatchewan, providing the majority of In-Patient Neurological services in Calgary. Our close partnership with the University of Calgary medical teaching program and the Libin Cardiovascular Institute enables us to stay at the forefront of healthcare innovation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide advanced clinical services, including psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, to patients with complex and multi-dimensional medical, psychological, interpersonal, environmental, and/or instrumental needs.
• Consult and collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement evidence-based practices, policies, and procedures.
• Lead, facilitate, and participate in program, policy, and procedure development, staff development, quality improvement, and research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).
• Supervise doctoral level psychology residents, master's level interns, provisional psychologists, psychometrists, and other team members as needed.

Requirements:
• Completion of a doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program in an applied area relevant to the practice setting.
• Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Salary Information:
$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
