Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Crisis Stabilization Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health crises.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing interventions to promote recovery and stability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide crisis management and intervention services to patients in need
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A valid nursing license and registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnosis, symptomatology, and related treatment modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide opportunities for professional growth and development, a supportive work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.
