Estimated Salary:
$35.87 - $43.82 per hour

Job Description:
As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will engage in collaborative efforts to provide holistic and comprehensive care to patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Your responsibilities will include delivering targeted interventions, developing robust plans of care, and facilitating discharge planning that promotes mental health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted interventions with awareness of patient evaluation and modification of approaches based on evolving needs
- Conduct physical and mental status assessments, de-escalation, and conflict-resolution
- Engage in discharge planning to promote, maintain, and restore mental health while preventing mental illness, injury, and disability

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Knowledge of verbal de-escalation techniques required
- Working knowledge of Psychotropic medications required
- Experience in AMH assessment tools, including Mental Status examination
- Experience in various risk assessments: i.e., Suicide risk, Homicidal risk, violent risk
