**Overview of the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our outpatient clinic, you will work with adolescents experiencing mental health needs and their families.

**Job Summary:**

The successful candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up services to clients and their families. They will also collaborate with other healthcare providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to youth and their families
* Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each client's needs
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and community resources to develop and promote preventative health programs
* Participate in case management and coordination of discharge and follow-up care
* Facilitate groups and provide clinical-focused consultation with other programs or community resources

**Requirements:**

* Master's degree in a health-related field (Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing)
* Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college (College of Alberta Social Workers, College of Alberta Psychologist, or CARNA)
* Several years of clinical experience, with supervision, as a Family Counsellor
* Ability to function as a Family Therapist while collaborating with other team members of the multidisciplinary team
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, recognize limitations, and handle crisis and stressful situations in a calm facilitative manner
* Adolescent experience required, with preference for training in trauma-informed care and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Completion of the Brain Story Certificate (attachments) preferred
* Successful completion of an accredited certificate program with full membership in AAMFT preferred
* Training in psychosocial interventions or applied with the College

**Compensation Package:**

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on industry standards and the location of Alberta Health Services.
