Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the negotiation and contracting process with internal and external clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate business development activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and arranging travel arrangements when required.
  • Conduct direct sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, and nurturing client relationships within assigned territories or markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine business development tools and resources, such as sales playbooks, templates, and databases.
  • Support the business development team in research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and client needs, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide administrative support for key account management activities, including monitoring client satisfaction, facilitating contract renewals, and addressing any customer concerns or issues.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, negotiations, and contracts in the company's CRM system.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular business development performance reports, tracking key metrics and providing insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in science with at least 3 years of experience in industry.
  • Experience in drug discovery or CRO environment, an asset.
  • Knowledge of drug development process.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Highly organized.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to work independently and balance multiple assignments.
  • Highly skilled communicator and listener with a customer focus.
  • Ability to present a positive image of NuChem Sciences at outside events.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record for working in a highly collaborative, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multi-task across projects and manage priorities.
