Job Title: Senior Director, Core Transactional Finance Functional Program Lead

About the Role:

The Core Transactional Finance Functional Lead is the lead business resource responsible and accountable for the achievement of the business outcomes defined within the program. This senior leader will play a pivotal role in driving change within the Finance organization. The primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement strategic initiatives that enhance business operations, foster innovation, and achieve short and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Consistency: Drive consistency in the Core Transactional Finance Vision across Electricenergyonline's core business segments by aligning key finance stakeholders on a target state operating model, a target state architecture that underpins efficient and effective finance execution, and a common reporting structure and chart of accounts.
  2. Champion Process Efficiency: Champion process efficiency, effectiveness, and align target state processes across finance for in scope Core transactional Finance Processes.
  3. Deliver on the CTF Vision: Work with key strategic partners to deliver on the CTF vision, working closely with Solution implementation partners and the broader CTF program leadership to deliver effective work products.
  4. Lead the Program: Act as the accountable leader for finance in the day-to-day leadership of the program, bringing relevant finance stakeholders to the table and ensuring key requirements and functional needs are addressed.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Finance, Accounting, MIS, or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
  2. Accounting Accreditation: Preference towards accounting accreditation (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) in either Canada or the United States.
  3. Experience: Minimum of ten years of related experience working in Finance leadership roles, preferably with experience in Finance system implementations, target operating model design, chart of accounts design, system architecture, and master data management.
  4. Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading a large system transformation similar to this project or related experience.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Vendor Management: Experience working with 3rd party vendor support resources to determine the appropriate build versus buy strategy.
  7. Industry Experience: Utility and energy industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  8. Influence and Communication: Ability to influence without formal authority, must be able to effectively interact with and communicate with business partners at every level throughout the organization.
  9. Delivery Approaches: Preferred candidates will have knowledge and/or experience working with both waterfall and agile delivery approaches.
  10. Organizational Skills: Superior organizational, professional presentation, time management, and prioritization skills.
  11. System Expertise: Expertise and experience with HCM, ERPs, and Financial Systems, particularly in data migration activities and designing integrations with other enterprise systems is an advantage.
