Transformational Finance Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Transformational Finance Leader to join our team at WGL Holdings, Inc. as a Sr Director, Core Transactional Finance Functional Program Lead.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Business Outcomes: Lead the achievement of business outcomes defined within the program, ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives that enhance business operations, foster innovation, and achieve short and long-term goals.
- Oversee Strategic Initiatives: Oversee and implement strategic initiatives that enhance business operations, foster innovation, and achieve short and long-term goals, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners.
- Align Key Stakeholders: Align key finance stakeholders on a target state operating model, a target state architecture that underpins efficient and effective finance execution, and a common reporting structure and chart of accounts.
- Champion Process Efficiency: Champion process efficiency, effectiveness, and align target state processes across finance for in scope Core transactional Finance Processes.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Act as the accountable leader for finance in the day-to-day leadership of the program, bringing relevant finance stakeholders to the table and ensuring key requirements and functional needs are addressed.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Finance, Accounting, MIS or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
- Experience: Minimum of ten years of related experience working in Finance leadership roles, preferably with experience in Finance system implementations, target operating model design, chart of accounts design, system architecture, and master data management.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without formal authority and effectively interact with and communicate with business partners at every level throughout the organization.
- Technical Skills: Expertise and experience with HCM, ERPs and Financial Systems, particularly in data migration activities and designing integrations with other enterprise systems is an advantage.
