Role Summary



The University of Toronto seeks an experienced professional to lead mental health initiatives and programs for faculty and academic staff. As the Associate Director, Faculty Development and Support, you will develop and deliver mental health professional development initiatives and programs.

The Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto is a leading institution in Canada, known for its research excellence and comprehensive academic programs. The Academic Human Resources Office provides support and expertise to academic units on faculty development and support, and the interpretation and application of policies and procedures governing academic appointments.

Your Responsibilities



As the Associate Director, Faculty Development and Support, you will lead a team to develop and deliver mental health professional development initiatives and programs. You will have a leadership role in building the Division's capacity to identify and support faculty and academic staff in crisis. You will work collaboratively with various offices, including Campus Safety, Human Resources, Labour Relations, Student Affairs, and senior leadership in academic and administrative units.

Key Qualifications



* A graduate degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or public health, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience in a university, public sector, or research-intensive setting, leading professional development programming.
* Strong familiarity, understanding, and experience working with individuals with mental health issues and illnesses.
* Registered Social Worker in good standing with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers highly preferred.

* An estimated salary range of $118,368 - $138,097, based on location and qualifications.
