University Health Network, a leading Academic Health Sciences Center, is seeking an accomplished academic psychiatrist to fill the position of Department Head, UHN Centre for Mental Health and Program Medical Director UHN-CAMH Partnership. As a key strategic and operational leader, you will play a vital role in advancing mental health care at UHN and increasing collaborative clinical and academic initiatives with CAMH.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated success leading in a complex academic health sciences centre and be committed to advancing clinical care, research, and education in mental health at a high international standard. You must possess MD and FRCPC or equivalent qualifications and be eligible for licensure in Ontario.

This joint leadership role involves working closely with senior leaders at UHN and CAMH to advance the partnership and provide high-quality, integrated care for patients and families. The Department Head /PMD will be responsible for building and sustaining a strong foundation that supports the delivery of high-quality patient care, education, and research in the area of Mental Health.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $300,000-$400,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This figure reflects the location in Toronto, Canada's largest city, and the industry-standard compensation package offered by University Health Network.

You will have primary responsibility for quality and safety in the Centre for Mental Health and dyadic responsibility with the Clinical Vice-President/Clinical Director for Finances and clinical operations. Additionally, you will work within UHN's Program Matrix model, providing leadership in concert with a Clinical Vice President, as well as other Program Medical Directors and Clinical Directors.
