Job Description

As a Pastry Cook, you will assist with daily hands-on production and presentation of a wide range of products made from scratch in the kitchen of The Pointe Restaurant. You will also maintain the highest level of culinary excellence and use the finest ingredients on the West Coast.

Responsibilities:
  • Pare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Produce visually appealing and delicious pastries that enhance our guests' dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop new pastry items and seasonal offerings.
  • Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and proper storage.
  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of pastries for special events and functions.
  • Stay informed about current pastry trends and techniques to bring innovative ideas to our menu.
  • Maintain records of food, supplies, and equipment.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will embody the West Coast culture, while still being committed to the art of hospitality and pursuit of excellence. They should have excellent guest service skills and demonstrated enthusiasm and talent for exceeding guest expectations.

Key Qualifications:
  • Long attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for pastry arts.
  • Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Experience as a pastry cook or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of pastry items.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry decoration, and dessert presentation.
