Job Description

The Pastry Cook will assist with daily hands-on production and presentation of a wide range of products made from scratch in the kitchen of The Pointe Restaurant. This includes maintaining the highest level of culinary excellence, expediting and presenting desserts, and assisting in menu planning and development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient and personalized guest service, meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond, and Forbes Standards.
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Create visually appealing and delicious pastries that enhance our guests' dining experience.
  • Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop new pastry items and seasonal offerings.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in a fine dining establishment or similar.
  • Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
What We Offer

Competitive salary: $20.00 per hour. Shared accommodation available for candidates that meet our eligibility criteria.
