Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute corporate development strategies that support the company's growth and expansion goals;
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and joint ventures;
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas;
  • Assess the financial viability of potential projects, partnerships, and acquisitions, including financial modelling and due diligence;
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and successful implementation;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and industry leaders;
Requirements

We're looking for an individual with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate development, business development, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field;
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills;
  • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills;
  • A proven track record in managing and executing complex projects;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills;
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders;
  • A strong understanding of the agriculture or food industry is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary based on experience: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications.

You'll also be eligible to participate in our health insurance, dental, and disability programs after completion of the probationary period (paid 50% by the employee and 50% by Lufa Farms). Other benefits include access to TELUS Health Virtual Care and the Employee and Family Assistance Program. You'll also receive a 30% discount on your Lufa Farms basket.
