About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at TD Asset Management. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.



Job Summary


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing relationships and selling TD Asset Management strategies within an External Distribution territory. You will partner with the Regional Vice President to co-manage an assigned territory of portfolio managers and investment advisors, providing industry intelligence, business strategy, and sound investment counsel to drive business growth.



Key Accountabilities



  1. Partner with the Regional Vice President to develop and execute business plans, meet activity targets, and ensure an excellent customer experience.
  2. Develop new business and increase share of wallet within the region by proactively attracting, acquiring, and retaining customers.
  3. Work collaboratively with internal partners to maximize distribution effectiveness and provide a seamless client experience.
  4. Stay up-to-date on investment strategy and portfolio construction analytics, as well as in-depth knowledge of TDAM products and key competitors.
  5. Maintain corporate and industry sales practices standards.


Requirements



  • University degree required; preference given to industry accreditations (CFA, CIM, FCSI).
  • 3+ years of industry sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of both asset management and wealth management industries.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong interest in capital markets.
  • Ability to excel in a sales environment.
  • Fully fluent in French (for Quebec Region) is preferred.
