Job Summary:

Brandon University is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the Healthy Living Centre (HLC) Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing requests for facility and equipment rentals, assisting with event planning, and coordinating special hosting requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage facility and equipment rentals through computer systems
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Support Physical Education, Campus Recreation, Mini U, and Athletics with class schedules and program and training times
  • Provide client service duties at the front desk
  • Create promotional materials
  • Manage FOB and card activation systems
  • Assist seasonal staff with keys, training, scheduling, and managing student workers' timesheets
  • Attend meetings
  • Manage office supplies
  • Track facility usage
  • Coordinate repairs as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 plus a one (1) year Office Administration certificate
  • Three (3) years' directly related experience or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other office software and equipment
