A leading North American company within the HVAC segment is seeking a highly experienced Territory Sales Manager to spearhead sales efforts in the Edmonton region.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, with a proven track record of success in sales roles within the HVAC industry.

The primary responsibilities of this role include targeting and supporting HVAC contractors and end-user clients through consultative relationships, promoting exclusive equipment manufacturers, and sourcing new customers while maintaining existing relationships.

Key features of this position include:

  • Identifying and maximizing opportunities by targeting project opportunities and clients across the defined territory
  • Assisting with customer events, such as open houses, sporting events, and lunches
  • Performing product selections for engineers and design/build contractors
  • Interpreting schedules, construction drawings, and specifications
  • Conducting take-offs, preparing quotations and tenders, and issuing submittals
  • Self-educating and attending manufacturers' factory/training visits to stay current on the latest product developments and software tools (some travel involved)
  • Staying informed about industry and local codes, regulations, and market trends to ensure compliance and leverage opportunities
  • Providing timely and accurate service to the contractor community
  • Maintaining knowledge of competitors' product offerings
  • Conducting at least six visits per week to different contractor firms to maintain a strong presence in the contractor community
  • Collaborating with other divisions on cross-functional sales opportunities
  • Managing the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry to the end of the warranty period

Required qualifications include a minimum of 5 years' experience within the HVAC space, a thorough knowledge of mechanical products, and post-secondary education desired but not required if industry experience is present. The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a vehicle package and benefits.
