Business Development Manager for HVAC Territory

Lock Search Group is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to represent a North American leader within the HVAC segment in Edmonton, AB.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and a proven track record of success in sales within the HVAC industry. This role involves targeting, supporting, and building consultative relationships with HVAC contractors and end-user clients by strategically promoting exclusive equipment manufacturers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify and maximize opportunities by targeting project opportunities and clients across the defined territory within the BC market.
- Perform product selections for engineers and design/build contractors.
- Stay informed about industry and local codes, regulations, and market trends to ensure compliance and leverage opportunities.
- Provide timely and accurate service to the contractor community.
- Cultivate strong relationships with industry partners, including contractors and owners, as well as engineers, architects, and developers.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within the HVAC space with related mechanical equipment.
- A thorough knowledge of mechanical products is essential.
- Post-secondary education (Degree or 2-year diploma) is desired but not required if industry experience is present within the HVAC sector.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
- Ability to prospect for new business and manage a key account book of business within a territory.
- Possess excellent people skills to build relationships within the industry – networking is crucial.
