Administrative Support Specialist

Job Summary
This role supports the Supervisor, Access and Disclosure, Calgary/South Zone, in processing release of information requests for continuity of patient care and access to health information. The position requires strong technical skills, including navigating multiple electronic sources and using computer applications like Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process requests for health information
- Answer incoming calls and greet clients
- Assess requests for appropriate consent
- Validate patient identification
- Log requests, retrieve and file records, copy, fax, scan, and mail health information
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Ability to provide high-level customer service
- Technical aptitude for information systems and computer applications
- Knowledge of basic office equipment and software
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- English language skills in reading, writing, and comprehension, and effective oral and written communication
Working with Alberta Health Services
